Caramel Bar Day was a success! (Meaning that I actually baked them)

Unfortunately, Caramel Bars are incredibly rich and make my stomach ache.

Good thing most of them are heading to The Frame Shop today for The Kid's ongoing birthday gift of a cookie a month. He's young. His system can tolerate them.

On Poola's advice, I headed back to Trader Joe's and picked up a can of the coffee she recommended. I didn't try it yet because I have to grind the beans and lord knows where my grinder is around this mess of a place. However, my goal today is to find that damn grinder and try the coffee.

I decided that Trader Joe's is my sparkling water destination. Their sparking waters are really cheap compared to my grocery store's prices. By a buck a bottle.

Oh, and Trader Joe's is my wine destination. Cripes! Cheap prices on Italian Red Table Wine. I'm there.

But, what is 3 Buck Chuck? I know what 3 Buck means, but what is Chuck? You know, besides the best name for singing the name game. Chuck Chuck Bo Buck Banana Fana Fo...

I should have named our first kid "Chuck".

I stopped by the Vet's clinic on the way home. Just wanted to go there and pick up some Yoda food. She'd been living on Oreo Kitty bad kidney food for too long and needed her dental food and a diet food. My friend, Deb, was able to come out front and talk with me (and hug me. twice. it was my idea the second time. I don't really hate hugs so much as I hate hugs from people I don't really know. and my mom.)

Weird. It was comforting to be in the place I left Oreo behind.

Yoda goes in next week for her check up. She's getting so dang fat. I wonder, can a cat be trained to walk on a treadmill?

She's doing a little bit better but I know she misses her buddy. She spends most of her day and night on Thing 1's bed and doesn't eat much. But I got her to go outside with me yesterday (and then run right back in. she's a chicken. afraid of her own shadow. but at least she'd go in and out a few times.) and she even spent some time playing in my photo cube (that I use for photographing jewelry). Deb said it'd take a couple of weeks for her to get back to normal.

Frame Shop day. I stopped in yesterday and got in a hot dish/casserole conversation with Sally the Framer. She was trying to convince me that there are no noodles in a Tuna Noodle Casserole. I think she was drunk.

And yes, I call the Tuna Noodle one a "casserole". "Hot Dish" is for Tater Tots.
