I took some time yesterday to get my hair spruced up and then I spent some time putting the spruce to the curb. The tree, not my hair. I like my hair. I'm tired of the tree taking up so much space. It's pretty and all, the tree, but it's needy for real estate. My hair is short and takes up alot less space now.
My god, that was quite the whack paragraph. I just couldn't think of a less boring way to let you know about my hair and the tree.
I'm taking a break while de-christmasing the house. I put up a whole lotta christmas this year and it's going to take me awhile to get it all down. Of course, it will take longer if I continue to take breaks while doing it.
I love the pretty lights and they help me get through the long, dark nights. But getting it all put away gives the place a fresh look and that gets me through the long, dark nights even better. About mid-January is when the need for chocolate kicks in and it's chocolate alone that will get me through the long, dark nights.
Around February, when the Minnesota winters look like they'll never end? That's when I need alcohol to keep me going. Mass quantities of cosmopolitans and margaritas.
Even though we're having a mild winter so far, I know the subzero temperatures are still coming. And we tend to get clouded over this time of year and...
oh man...I'm making myself very depressed just writing about it.
Perhaps I'll just skip everything else and go straight to booze.
What wine goes with de-christmasing?
