Lately, I keep finding my blue jeans unzipped. If it were the same pair of blue jeans I'd think, "hey, these blue jeans have a broken zipper". Alas, it is not the same pair of blue jeans. Apparently I'm in a hurry these days.
The other day when I finished that Clausen's Pier book and picked up a new one to read, title A Little Piece of Sky, I didn't realize that by that very same day, I'd have to find another new book to read. It was that quick of a read. It was good and, apparently, very to the point. I'll be starting Sweetwater tonight. I took a night off so I could watch t.v. instead.
How about that American Idol! That group of Vote for the Worst is at it again. Heh. We really need to quit taking American Idol so damn seriously. Go Sanjaya! We refer to him in our house as "The Perry Como of our times". Who needs a sleeping pill now?
I saw a group of people I hadn't seen for awhile at a funeral yesterday (I think I have finally reached the age where this is going to be my main social outing) and they made such a fuss about my hair. A month after the haircut and they're shocked I'd cut it this short? People! You should have seen me in February! Right?
My girlfriend lost her beautiful mom this week (hence, the funeral). A sweet little momma who adored her children and spouse and was the essence of the word Nurture. We all need to do good things today to make up for such a loss.
Time to get ready to head out to the old frame factory. Schlemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated.
