Hey Dotty! Call me and I'll deliver your honey! It's either that or I'm going to start making myself some peanut butter and honey sandwiches with it because I'm getting to the end of my very own honey. I'm just sayin'.
I'm clairvoyant, yet again. All of a sudden, an old friend's name and face kept popping into my head. I last saw her in April and haven't heard from or barely thought of her since. That sounds mean. I didn't mean it to be mean. I just got busy. Heck, she apparently didn't think of me either! Then this past weekend I kept thinking that I should call her. Call her. Call her. She called me last night. I think I'll send out more psychic signals today. Now, who is that I want to touch base with?
I'm trying to talk my sister into selling me her barely-, mostly never-, used treadmill. Thor's got to get walking and Thor won't go outside to do it. We can join the local Activity Center but that would mean that Thor would have to go outside and like I said, Thor doesn't want to go outside to walk. Maybe I should get him a leash and Dog Whisperer him out the door in the evenings. Except that seeing as how we're on the brink of the time change, it's only a matter of days before it's dark here at 4:30 p.m. Gads, it stinks to live up north. Seriously, I don't know how Terri does it. Other than the fact that she really doesn't have a choice because it's not like she can change the earth's axis and I don't think her family has any plans to move any time soon.
Maybe I'll make my sister selling me her treadmill my next psychic connection:
Sell me that damn treadmill! Call me! Make it cheap!!!!!
Of course, we could always go buy a treadmill at a store. Except for the fact that we're working on getting me a new vehicle so Thor's not too willing to let go of that much money all at once. (Apparently Thor thinks my sister's going to give us quite a bargain. Or thinks she'll trade it for that damn Victrola we have sitting in our living room.)
Speaking of vehicles, we took a Toyota 4 Runner for a spin on Saturday. I love it. Smooth ride. Ample cup holders. I'm sold!
That reminds me, I have to find the old stereo system for the van so I can swap out my really good one with it. That isn't going with the van on a trade-in. I might have to buy a replacement if I can't find it. But for sure, my pricey stereo goes into the next car. It's got a plug-in for my iPod and has somehow made the minivan's speakers almost darned ghetto. It's a magical stereo system!
Speaking of music - new Decemberists and Beck come out today! I'm still not sure about the FIVE for Fighting concert on Thursday. I totally spaced out calling my nephew, even though I talked with his mom, when I got focused on the fact that he just got done touring with some rock band around parts of the country. Okay. Forgot the band's name. Oh yeah. Atmosphere. I don't know them. Are they a rock band? Never heard them. Only heard local talk about them. Are they good? I don't know! My nephew did something for them like merchandising or sandwich getting or something. I don't know. Only know that he got the opportunity to go to Alaska, right before winter hit!
I can't wait to hear about the trip but then again, it's my nephew so it probably went like this:
"I road on a bus for a month. Mostly slept. Can't remember much about it. Got this t-shirt for free. Alaska's cold. I don't have a jacket. I never have a jacket. I lost my glasses."
