I'm high again on a pumpkin spice latte right now but I have no songs about festering vaginers in my head. Aren't you relieved?
I decided to head down south and sign myself up for a silversmithing class that starts in a couple of weeks. Setting cabochons and other miscellaneous whatnot. You know what I'm talking about, right? Unfortunately, the road into the small town was under construction and the detour was backed way the heck up due to it being Jesse James Day in town. I could not get back out of town the way I came in. So I headed even further south to another small town that just so happens to have a Starbuck's in it.
It also happens to be the small town where my sister's cabin is so I tried to call her to announce my arrival (wouldn't want to just drop in, you know). She didn't answer her cell phone so I called her daughter who wasn't at the cabin because of something having to with Macy's. It's complicated, don't ask. But she told me who was visiting at the cabin this weekend and that I should just drop in. So I did.
I had a wonderful visit with my sister and my niece's mother-in-law. Who has now moved up a peg on the ladder of people I like because she wanted nothing better than to smack me over the head and steal my new pumpkin spice latte colored BIG purse that I bought yesterday. I appreciate a woman who appreciates a good purse.
What a wonderful drive. The fields have turned gold and the trees will be following any day now. Every time I get down south I think I'm back home again. Makes me miss my dad something fierce. I could see myself living down there so easily. Well, if Thor would go with me.
But keep in mind that yesterday I was driving around one of the city lakes and thought to myself how much I loved living in the city and how wonderful it would be live over by the city lakes again. I do the very same thing when I'm driving through the warehouse district of downtown Minneapolis, where Thor and I started out living together. I'm thinking about changing my middle name to "Fickle".
Kitchen Fickle Logic.
Nice ring to it.
So after this wonderful drive back home again to the rolling field of gold, to sign up for a silversmithing class, I'm in an incredible mood to create.
Later Gators.
