March 28, 2007 The weather forecast for the next 7 days: Rain Rain and More Rain Making Me: Happy Because: That means I can hunker down and play with beads Which reminds me: Have you seen the New Stuff? or the Sale Page? And I can also: Read More Books! Did I mention my invitation from Catie to Good Reads? I love: That site. Because I can finally keep record of the books I've read, the books I'm reading, the books I've got on my shelves waiting to be read. If you want to join and add me to your friends, my e-mail is kathy at kitschinart dot com. But, you know, typed like a regular e-mail, not all spelled out. Especially the dot part. The Treadmill still sits in the garage but it's out of the box and the smaller parts have been brought down to the basement, where it will reside. That mofo is so heavy that I can be of no help in getting it inside. And apparently my strappingly tiny husband (sorry to burst your bubble, people, thor's a leetle beety guy) can't carry it down by himself nor can his equally tiny children be of any help. We're waiting for my manly, burly, little brother (who weighs about 5 lbs. more than Thor, after having eaten half a pan of stuffed pasta that his wife makes) to help lug that sucker downstairs. Without causing it undue harm. And then, I will be one with the treadmill. Really, it's quite a heavy beast which makes me hope that it's as tough as the ones at the gym. I'm assuming it is, given all the trouble it's already been. That's the high cost of quality. Fingers crossed. One step at a time, right? Last day of school before a week and a half of spring break. Hallelujah! Staying up late and reading! Sleeping in! Fast food meals! Happy happy happy! Speaking of not cooking, I tried a new recipe yesterday: Southwestern Stuffed Shells. From a cookbook I own but had never used before: Fix It and Enjoy It! If the rest of the recipes are like the Southwestern Stuffed Shells, the cookbook's going in the trash. Watch Good Reads for my review, soon! Tonight I'm going to make pasta with a bolognese sauce that I've never made before. Fortunately, it's from a different cookbook. I'll let you know. If it's good, the recipe goes on Kitchen Cook. Here's hoping for our own rainy, hunkering down days! Run! Buy Cosmic's Book!
