When my car slips on the icy road a little indicator light goes on to let me know that I'm slipping. In case I wasn't aware.
Good stuff. Love my little stinky car. Actually the pine over cigarette smoke smell is fading. Or maybe it's just being overpowered by the stink from Tuesday's Food For Folks (do they always get brussel sprouts?), the bags of fast food and this week's spilled Eggnog Latte from Starbuck's.
Our little snowfall ended much too soon. I wanted a minimum of 10 inches but got only 1. However, 1 was enough to keep the senior citizens from clogging the aisle at the grocery store yesterday afternoon. I don't know how you southern people deal with the lack of snowfalls that keep the senior citizens out of your way.
Thing 1 and his buddies got rear-ended right after leaving the school parking lot yesterday afternoon. One of his friends was driving and some teenage girl didn't realize that you need to actually use the brake a little early when the streets are slippery. And then she tried to make a getaway after she hit them. Only to realize you can't go anywhere when there is a group of high school boys surrounding your car, saying "What the fuck?"
There was no damage to Thing 1's friend's car but the brakeless girl got some damage to the front of her car. Lesson learned. I hope. Probably doesn't have one of those handy indicators to tell her that she's slipping. How's a person to know they're slipping without an indicator to tell them?
Time to get back to gift wrapping. It's the last day of school before winter break and I need to get the boy's stuff wrapped before they find it. Although after a comment made last night, I think the younger thing may have been doing a little search and discovery already.
Stinky pill of a kid.
One more thing. If you're an earring lover and you need to fill a little time today? Guess what?
