There's a post office around here that was renamed after one of our locals who died on Flight 93. I stopped by the post office to mail a package on Friday and saw a red white & blue plastic package full of red white & blue flowers.
I thought that was really sweet and am sure the family members will appreciate the gesture.
The terrorists may have scared the crap out of us but they have not stopped us from buying dyed carnations in tacky plastic wrapping.
Five years ago my eyes were really opened to the evil monster that wants us dead. Before then I knew about terrorism and terrorists. But until 9/11 I didn't realize the size and serious organization of it. That scares the poo right out of me.
My stand today against extreme muslims who want us dead is to have a moment of silence where I will reflect about our country's openess to people of all religious beliefs or lack thereof.
Then I will go make a purchase for something I have absolutely no use for because that, my friends, is America. Here's to the land of choices, no matter how tacky the taste may be.
