Psst: Spring Sale at Kitsch In Art

So, what did you think of Sanjaya on American Idol last night?

I am a huge Kinks fan. Love the Ray Davies.

Sanjaya had me almost rolling on the floor. Perry Como singing a Kinks song. Now, that's a treat.

Here's hoping he makes it tonight so they have to take that on the tour.

Cripes. We need to put Sanjaya in a room with Ray Davies and see who comes out alive.

I sure do love that Blake.

I forgot to tell you about something that happened at dinner at our friend's on Saturday night. I guess I've been a little too focused on being sad and blue lately.

Our friends have a couple of kids. Their daughter is in 2nd grade and was having a friend for a sleepover. She came into the kitchen and offered her friend a fudge bar, which her friend accepted. Next thing we know, we see the daughter sneaking off with a pint of Haagen Dazs for herself.

A fudge bar for her friend. A pint of Haagen Dazs for herself.

God, I love kids. That just cracked me up.

The parents caught her and told her that she'd either have to share the pint of ice cream with her friend or just get a fudge bar for herself.

"Oh no! She only wanted a fudge bar!" she rep/lied.

Seriously. Love kids.

Now about this blue sadness of mine. It's spring. It's time to wear something other than the black t-shirts I'm always wearing, think happy thoughts about my little gone kitty and get over my sad sack self.

Rainy day today. Which I'm thankful for because it's time to let the sky be grey so I can stop being grey inside.

I never did scrub those tubs yesterday. Buzz and I went chemo hat shopping instead. She bought me the cutest pin. Then we headed to Trader Joe's. I love the prices on the funky juices and waters there. Other than that, it seems to be your typical European-type grocery store. Not much to choose from. It's a good thing it's located in a non-gluttonous area of the Twin Cities because I don't think it'll make it in my suburb where all the people like big purchases at low prices.

Today is caramel-bar baking day. I bet you didn't know that.
